In recent years, the Mars Mission Science Exhibition has seen many creative projects. To encourage students to transition from science demonstrations to scientific writing and to deepen their understanding of scientific content, this year, with the support of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), all participants in the Mars Mission Science Exhibition, regardless of whether they win an award, will have the opportunity to continue receiving guidance from university professors after the conclusion of the national competition. This will assist them in completing an essay, thereby enhancing their overall scientific training. This program is a collaboration between the NSTC and Tunghai University, with professors from the College of Sciences and the College of Social Sciences serving as essay advisors in the fields of natural and social sciences.

Implementation Plan:

1.Participants must register for and participate in the Mars Mission Science Exhibition competition.

2.After the competition, the Mars Mission team will survey each team’s willingness to write an essay, and university professors will be matched with teams based on the professional expertise of their topics. High school mentors are welcome to participate as well.

3.The essay guidance will be conducted through a hybrid of online and in-person sessions. The frequency and method will be determined by the university advisor and the team.

4.The activity will continue until the end of January 2025, by which time the essay must be completed.

5.After completing the essay, students who fully participate in the writing process will receive a certificate of essay writing issued by the Mars Mission-NSTC program as recognition. If there are any changes in team members during this period, please contact the Mars Mission team.
